Artist's concept for Roger's hop trellis.
Phil Wilcox's new all organic Cascade Hop trellis. I had to take out 6 cottonwood trees, but the first and last I trimmed down to 18 Feet. I put a 10 guage plastic coated wire between them and put key chain rings on it to hold the twine. Then I transplanted the old garden to the new pots (bottoms cut out). The master root from the 8 year old bine was an inch and a half thick and went 20 feet in three directions!
This is the view from the old hop garden. I had 15 pots so I spaced them two feet apart on both sides. I double wound the Strisel twine to add strength.
