The big week is upon us! I'm talking about National Indian Pudding Day. It's the day where visions of pudding is literally dancing in our heads! The big holiday is Saturday, November 13th, but we're so excited that we're starting the party on Thursday. If you've recently been released from a Turkish prison and don't know about National Indian Pudding Day, it's the holiday that celebrates one of the great American innovations- Indian Pudding. There was a time, when no Thanksgiving meal was complete without Indian Pudding. This holiday pays homage to those days and attempts to put it back into the hearts, minds, and stomachs of the American public. Fort Street Brewery has been designated as party central for this important holiday. On Thursday, November 11th, we'll have Indian Pudding to eat as soon as soon as we open, and then at 8ish p.m., we'll tap "Indian Pudding Ale". "IPA" is made with all most of the same ingredients as the pudding itself (corn, mollases, ginger, milk, and cinnamon). It's a tasty treat that'll sweep you off your feet! Since it's Veteran's Day, we'll be donating a portion of the proceeds to our favorite charity – Homes For Troops. Homes For Troops is a top rated charity that builds new homes, or retrofits existing homes to accomodate disabled veterans. In addition, we're auctioning off a hidden bottle of "Opus Amor" wheat wine to raise more money for HFT. Come for the fun, stay to help out some very deserving people! Our liquor of the week is Godiva Chocolate Liqueur. It's like chocolate milk with alcohol! You can get a Blind Russian (Butterscotch Schnaaps, Kahlua, Godiva, and Irish Cream), Chocolate Mist (Godiva & Canadian Mist whiskey) or a Peanut Butter Cup (Frangelica, Butterscotch Schnaaps, and Godiva) for only $3.75! You can also get a Chocolate Honey Bee (Godiva & Barenjager) for $4. Who wants some chocolate?! Have you ever stepped out of the shower and realized you didn't have a towel? Happens all the time. Well, we've got ya covered! Just go to http://imitowels.com/product_sample.php for your free bath towel! This week on, "My Little Puddin' Pop", you'll hear Doug say, "Every man lives, but not every man has truly lived until he's had Indian Pudding!". You'll also hear Lil' Adam say, "Can I lick the bowl?". On your plate this week, look for Apple Smoked and Apple Glazed Pork Chops, Gyro Heros, Chicken & Orzo Salad, Pheasant Under Glass Sausages, Pretzel Crusted Walleye, Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, Baked Potato Pizza, Indian Pudding (starting Thursday), and Beer Can Chicken (Thursday-Sunday). Next Monday is the start of firearm deer season and I'll be spending a few days drinking beer and shooting firearms with my dear old dad, so that means no newsletter next week. We will have a new beer that you'll be very excited about on the 18th and I'll have the food specials posted on our website and all our other fun stuff will be on Facebook once I get back to civilization. To summarize: Party Central for a Pudding Party. 'Nuff said!; "I'm gonna go every day, 'cause I just love puddin' and beer!"; "Chocolate milk with alcohol? Sweeeeeet!"; "Can someone get me a towel?"; and "Be vary quiet! I'm hunting deer in between sips of beer!".
