I make a motion that the club support the Big Brew with the purchase of pork as Mike has outlined. Mike- - would Adventures be willing to chip in some as well? Maybe we split it?

Pork shoulders @ $1.68/# come about 68#/ case - my grill will comfortabley hold 3 cases.

This is about $115/case.

If we do this we probably should have servers - serve the meat in small portions - so it will go as far as possible.

I think money should be applied to BigBrew.

I second that proposal to supply a significant protien for Big Brew. I mentioned last night that the club just hit $4,000 in its treasury. This is an event that many of our members can stop in and enjoy, brew, meet with other brewers, etc. Let us know the costs (all in with charcoal, spices/sauces, meat) and if members agree, let's do this!

Jason is still not sure what he is doing for food - besides the potluck.

The AABG has always had a food budget for these thing - and I was wondering if AABG wanted to sponsor a bunch of meat - that would be shared by all. I will check on the price of pork shoulder as Costco today.

I have (7) volenteer helpers already!

Two of them - are previous smoker operator/helpers! So manning this effort will not be a problem!

What say ye?
