For the latest AABG AHA Big Brew 2010 YouTube video:
Go to YouTube.com
and search for AABG AHA Big Brew 2010
The latest version includes the Presidential fly-over!
The old link is still up but I changed the name so that it would not be our 'official entry'.

That's got to be just about the ugliest post I've ever seen. I just filled out the questionnaire… but it's nameless. I thought the name field was part of the grain question. I'm makin Tripel (Final Absolution Clone). food snax will be last minute decision.

Their is lots of covered space both indoors and out (big awing area out back) for brewers to setup.
If need be I have my 20'x30' tent and we have several 10'x10' tents available.

I have never been to the "Marina". Is it correct that we will be in a covered space; ie no rain to worry about? How many brewer setups can the space accommodate?

Big Brew Update!
Jack's Place is going to be very busy on Sat.! The garage across the parking lot is haveing a car show that day! Parking arrangements have been made with the church across the street.
We will be able to load and unload and then move your car across the street. Unless you have a show car! Some how I don't think my Nightmare Cruise winner counts.
The folks from Mindo Chocolate Makers, from Dexter and Mindo, Ecuador will be there to learn about brewing – and will also put chocolate making demo!
The Treusch brothers will be brewing on my historic system.
Bridget is hoping to get the day off to brew on the 1bbl system.
Dave VanEck and hopefully Jon will be brewing on the Club System.

The recipes suggested by the AHA for Big Brew are just that- suggestions. There is no rule that says to participate, you have to brew those beers. Did anyone brew the official beer(s) at last year's 24 hour Big Brew event?
Brew an old favorite, use a recipe you have been wanting to try, or go for broke with a free form "what the heck" brew.
The main thing is to have fun and to learn from each other.

None of these interest me very much. I will probably either brew something else entirely, or try a past Big Brew recipe (from http://wiki.americanhomebrewer…..AHABigBrew )… Saison Du Mont from 2009 looks decent.

The AABG Big Brew site is registered as site # 424.
We will be brewing on May 1st at Jack Carr's shop, site of the March meeting.
The address is 201 N Prospect Ypsilanti, Mi There is the most excellent Ypsi water there for brewing, electricity for pumps and so forth, and plenty of space both in and out! We will probably start in around 9:00, for the all grain brewers among us. The pig will probably be done about 5:00. (Mike can correct me on that.) So- plan on bringing your equipment and ingredients if you are planning to brew. If that seems a bit daunting, consider coming to assist another brewer. Or stop by to check out the set ups and perhaps sample a beer or two. If you will be there for dinner, please remember to bring a side dish or dessert to share. If you are planning to be there all day, additional snacks to share are always appreciated.
