So if I am counting correctly, the proposal is

club: 2 bottle (noble king & black metal)

Mike O: Wytchmaker

Alex: 2: wytchmaker & black metal

Crispy: 1 bottle: black metal

I'm going to place an order now for 3 black metal, 2 wytchmaker and one noble king. If the club wants to pay for 2 then great. If not, I'll take those 2 for myself.

I've had the opportunity to sample some of these at the brewery. I don't recall if I've had the Mad Meg though. Really interesting stuff. I would recommend the club get a couple bottles. Mike's suggestions look good to me. If the club is up for doing that, than I would like a couple as well: 1 Wytchmaker and 1 Black Metal. Be nice for us to get at least 6 so we get the discount. Anyone else??

I received an email from the "Rare Beer Club" offering any combination of 4 beers from Jester King brewery. Per the discussion at the last meeting, I am notifying y'all so we can decide whether the club might want to purchase some. Pricing is $44.95/2 (22.50 each), $66.95/4 (16.75), $90.95/6 (15.16), $174.95/12 (14.58). Descriptions are available in this PDF: http://rarebeerclub.beveragebi.....r-king.pdf. The email follows. BeerAdvocate links for the 4 beers, rated on a scale of 0 - 5:

Noble King -- 4.0 (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/p.....4018/75575)

Mad Meg -- 4.25 (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/p.....4018/77846) only 2 reviews

Wytchmaker - 3.7 (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/p.....4018/74714)

Black Metal - 4.0 (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/p.....4018/75396)

I'm thinking about the Noble King and Black Metal for myself, probably 1 bottle of each in a combined shipment with some for the club. Deadline for a decision is Monday March 19.

Dear Spencer,

Today we’re thrilled to bring you our first special offer of 2012, featuring a brewery that not only brews artisanal farmhouse-style beers, but brews them in an actual farmhouse – Austin, TX’s Jester King Craft Brewery! A tiny brewery with no regular distribution outside of Texas, Jester King specializes in hand-crafted, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and naturally conditioned beers. Using ridiculously expensive ingredients, including organic ingredients whenever possible, the crew at Jester King is focused on crafting small amounts of very labor- and time-intensive beers without compromise.

It’s our pleasure to announce that we’ve secured limited quantities of four of their exceptional and very hard-to-find beers. Ordering is extremely flexible, allowing you the ability to order 2, 4, 6, or 12 total bottles, combining any of the four featured beers below in any way to get there. All orders will begin shipping approximately one week after our 3-19 ordering cut off date.

1.) Noble King – Hoppy Farmhouse Ale, 5.9% ABV

2.) Mad Meg – Farmhouse Provision Ale, 9.6% ABV

3.) Farmhouse Wytchmaker – Farmhouse Rye IPA, 7.3% ABV

4.) Farmhouse Black Metal – Farmhouse Imperial Stout, 9.0% ABV
